The Boats

Boats on show in the Marina at Crick Boat Show

The colourful boats set the scene at Crick Boat Show. Presented by national and local boat builders and fitters and also by brokers, there are narrowboats and wide beams on display on water in the Marina and also on land at the heart of the Show Village.

For Saturday to Monday many companies have an "open boat" that can be viewed at any time durning the Show, but for others you may need to pre-book a viewing. If you wish to view a the boat from a specific company, do contact them before the Show find out if pre-booking is necessary.

Favourite Boats in Show

The Favourite Boat in Show award is a tradition of Crick. The 2019 competion is sponsored by Shawbrook and there are two trophies. One for the most admired narrowboat and one for the most admired widebeam, as voted for by Show visitors.

The result is announced mid-afternoon on Monday. Everyone who votes is entered into a prize draw to win a £100 Marks & Spencer voucher and Waterways World subscription. The winning exhibitors receive a trophy and a bottle of champagne.

Quayside at Crick Boat Show

The backbone of Crick Boat Show, the Waterways World Boating Marquee is huge floored marquee filled with waterway related products, services, associations  and businesses. Crick Boat Show Village

Our Show Village is a bustling outdoor area of the Show with a large number of exhibitors. Located adjacent to the main food court, and around the Land Boats, it’s the ideal area to enjoy a gentle post-lunch stroll.

Inside the Crick Boat Show Food & Craft Marquee

The Food and Craft Marquee is the place to find artists and crafts people as well as a wide selection of fine gourmet food specialists offering tasty samples of their culinary delights and product demonstrations. It is an ideal place to browse.

Located in the scenic setting of one of the country’s most sought-after marinas, and with an extensive range of boats, boating businesses and waterway activities, Crick Boat Show is the only inland boat show and is the focal point of the inland waterways calendar.

2019 is the 20th Crick Boat Show

Building on the sucess of the established Saturday to Monday Show, we are marking the 20th Show with a new Trade & Preview Day on the preceding Friday.  For exhbitors who wish to take part for the three regular Show days, we have reserved a large number of spaces by introducing zones to the Show site. Trade & Preview Day, Friday 24 May – New for 2019

The Trade & Preview Day, on the Friday preceding the Show, will offer:

  • 3 hours with no public admittance to allow boatbuilders and boating industry suppliers to meet with one another.
  • Access from 1pm for a limited number of pre-booked visitors to view boats and talk to specialist equipment and service suppliers in greater depth and at a more relaxed pace.
  • An opportunity for exhibitors to spend more time talking to trade press to promote their business and products.

For Trade & Preview Day, the Show site will be zoned (see site plan) to maintain areas available for the traditional three days for exhibitors who do not wish to take part of this extra day.
