The Boats

Boats on show in the Marina at Crick Boat Show

The colourful boats set the scene at Crick Boat Show. Presented by national and local boat builders and fitters and also by brokers, there are narrowboats and wide beams on display on water in the Marina and also on land at the heart of the Show Village.

Boats on Show 2020

Below are links to companies who will have boats at the 2020 Show. All boats will be open on Friday for Trade & Preview Day. Fuller details of the boats will be available here as soon as the exhibitors provide it.

Boat viewings

For Friday 22 May, Preview Day Ticket holders will be able to book viewings for all boats through a central online Boat Viewing Booking system that will be available from the middle of April once details of all boats are confirmed. A link for Friday bookings will be sent by email to all Preview Day Ticket holders after you have received your tickets.

For seeing inside boats on Saturday to Monday, many boats have open viewings avialble, while some require appointments to hop aboard. Where viewing appointments are needed for Saturday to Monday, please contact the company directly.

This year we have the pleasure of showing two great boats finished to the highest of standards. Boat one based on a Tyler Wilson cruiser hull, the second from Alexander Boat Builders, a 59ft semi-criuser.


Stoke-on-Trent Boat Building *

Stokeboats exhibit is 58ft reverse layout semi trad 2/4 berth. Mainly painted interior with open plan saloon, stylish galley, walk through bathroom and double bedroom. Central heating, thermal break windows. Appointments available


Trinity Boats Ltd *

Trinity Boats was first established in 2004. We have fitted out boats for numerous companies, including Falkirk Hire Boats, Marine Cruisers and Ortomarine ’Momentous’ is a 58’6” reverse layout hybrid narrowboat.


Favourite Boats in Show

The Favourite Boat in Show award is a tradition of Crick. The 2020 competion is sponsored by MS Amlin and there are two trophies. One for the most admired narrowboat and one for the most admired widebeam, as voted for by Show visitors.


The result is announced mid-afternoon on Monday. Everyone who votes is entered into a prize draw to win a £100 Marks & Spencer voucher and Waterways World subscription. The winning exhibitors receive a trophy and a bottle of champagne.

Crick Boat Show Village

Our Show Village is a bustling outdoor area of the Show with a large number of exhibitors. Located adjacent to the main food court, and around the Land Boats, it’s the ideal area to enjoy a gentle post-lunch stroll. 

The Show Village is a great place to pick up some exclusive Show-only offers and bargains.

Food & Craft Marquee 2020

Inside the Crick Boat Show Food & Craft Marquee

The Food and Craft Marquee is the place to find artists and crafts people as well as a wide selection of fine gourmet food specialists offering tasty samples of their culinary delights and product demonstrations. It is an ideal place to browse.

The Food & Craft Marquee is open Saturday to Monday.

2020 is the 21st Crick Boat Show

After the sucess of our first Trade & Preview Day last year, the 2020 Crick Boat Show will again hold this event on the preceding Friday for inland waterway business visitors and for Preview Day ticket holders.

We also welcome exhbitors who wish to take part only for the regular Saturday to Monday Show days and zone the Show site to reserve a large number of spaces for these three days. See the Exhbitor Guide for full information.

Trade & Preview Day, Friday 22 May 

The Trade & Preview Day, on the Friday preceding the Show gives:

  • boating industry suppliers, customers and boatbuilders time to meet at the start of the day in two hours with no public admittance
  • up to 1,000 pre-booked visitors the ability to view boats and talk to equipment and service suppliers in depth, but at a relaxed pace between noon and 6pm.
  • exhibitors the opportunity to spend more time promoting their business and products to trade press.

For Trade & Preview Day, the Show site is zoned (see site plan) to keep areas available for exhibitors who wish to take part for the traditional three days Saturday to Monday only.
