Boats on show in the Marina at Crick Boat Show

The colourful boats set the scene at Crick Boat Show. Presented by national and local boat builders and fitters and also by brokers, there are narrowboats and wide beams on display on water in the Marina and also on land at the heart of the Show Village.

Norton Canes Boatbuilders remain a stand-out name in narrowboat building and high-end fit outs. Its Crick boat is a stunning 55ft reverse layout based on a semi-trad Tyler Wilson shell, with the quality and style you’d expect – solid light oak units, painted walls and ceilings, walnut and marble worktops, walkthrough bathroom with pumpout WC, and tinted privacy glass. You’ll also find a Bubble stove, Webasto central heating, solar installation and Beta 43, plus head-turning metallic paint.

At the Show we have 60ft narrowboat LarkRise.

Ovations Boats

Two boats to view: our standard boat the ”Charnwood Edge”, and also a bespoke boat built to customer requirements - a ”Charnwood Choice”. Both are 60ft reverse semi-cruisers with Canaline engines and Vetus bow thrusters. The Edge has our standard layout and fittings: an oak and painted interior with L-shaped dinette, radiators, solid fuel stove and single-glazed windows. The Choice has a Pullman dinette, upgraded radiators, flooring and galley, diesel stove, double glazed windows, composting toilet and a solar charging system.

Favourite Boat in Show

The Favourite Boat in Show award is a tradition of Crick. The 2021 competion is sponsored by Haven Knox-Johnston and there is a trophy for the most admired boat, as voted for by Show visitors.

Haven Knox-Johnson Boat Insurance

The result will be announced early afternoon on Sunday. Everyone who votes is entered into a prize draw to win a £100 Marks & Spencer voucher and voters can also enter a prize draw to win a year's free boat insurance from Haven Knox-Johnston (T&C apply). The winning exhibitor receives a trophy and a bottle of champagne.

Crick Boat Show Village

Our Show Village is a bustling outdoor area of the Show with a large number of exhibitors. Located adjacent to the main food court, and around the Land Boats, it’s the ideal area to enjoy a gentle post-lunch stroll.

Home to our land-based boat display, make sure you visit the Show Village to explore these boats as well as those afloat in the Marina.

The Show Village is a great place to pick up some exclusive Show-only offers and bargains.

Inside the Crick Boat Show Food & Craft Marquee

The Food and Craft Marquee is the place to find artists and crafts people as well as a wide selection of fine gourmet food specialists offering tasty samples of their culinary delights and product demonstrations. It is an ideal place to browse.

Why Exhibit?

Crick Boat Show is the ideal opportunity to showcase your business. Located in the scenic setting of one of the country’s most sought-after marinas, and with an extensive range of boats, boating businesses and waterway activities, Crick Boat Show is the biggest inland boat show in the UK, and has been a focal point of the inland waterways calendar for more than 20 years.

2022 Show

After the success of our first Trade & Preview Day, the 2022 Crick Boat Show will again hold this event for inland waterway business visitors and for Preview Day ticket holders on the preceding Thursday.

We also welcome exhbitors who wish to take part only for the Friday to Sunday when the Show is fully open to the public and reserve a large number of spaces for these three days. See the Exhbitor Guide for full information.

Crick Boat Show has a specialised appeal of around 27,000 visitors.

Exhibition space is priced to suit all budgets and comes as part of an enhanced exhibitor package.

Exhibitors Guide 2022

Trade & Preview Day, Thursday 2 June 2022 

The Trade & Preview Day, on the Thursday preceding the Show gives:

  • two hours at the start of the day for boating industry suppliers, customers and boatbuilders to meet each other while there is no public admittance.
  • from 12 noon to 6pm, up to 1,000 pre-booked visitors the opportunity to view boats and talk to equipment and service suppliers in depth, but at a relaxed pace.
  • more time for exhibitors to promoting their business, products and services to trade press.
  • free to attend seminar and workshop sessions on technical and management topics.
  • drinks reception for exhibitors at the end of Trade & Preview Day

We have constrained the cost of taking part in Trade & Preview Day with only very modest additional stand costs to that of being at the Show for the three days that are fully open to the public.

For Trade & Preview Day, the Show site is zoned (see site plan) to keep areas available for exhibitors who wish to take part for the traditional three days Friday to Sunday only.

Set up times will be adjusted to manage smoothly those exhibiting for the extra day, while also offering other exhbitors access to the Show site for set up on the Thursday and on Friday morning.
