Crick Boat Show takes place from 25th to 27th May 2024, with a Trade & Preview Day on Friday 24th May.

BEFORE THE SHOW
(Please volunteer only if you can do so on ALL the days required for the role)

Role Description  
Heavy lifting includes lifting and moving furniture, event equipment and boxes of show guides Tue 21, Wed 22 & Thur 23
General Site Assistants includes erecting site signage and graphics, some lifting, climbing ladders, light manual tasks and some litter picking Tue 21, Wed 22 & Thur 23

CAMPSITE & MOORINGS
(Please volunteer only if you can do so on ALL the days required for the role)

Role Description  
Campsite Assistants Taking visitors to their pitches. Must be friendly, have good communication skills and be comfortable talking with visitors. There is a lot of walking up and down the campsite, so a good level of fitness is needed.  Thu 23, Fri 24, Sat 25, Sun 26 and Mon 27 (one 4.5 hour shift each day between 8.30am and 9pm)
Moorings Managers Volunteers will need to be experienced boaters and moor at the show (mooring provided) and have great communication skills. Volunteers also need to be fit for this role as it involves walking up and down the towpath. Thur 23, Fri 24, Sat 25, Sun 26

DURING THE SHOW
(Please volunteer only if you can do so on ALL the days required for the role)

Role Description  
Show Greeter Handing out Show Guides. Must be friendly, have good communication skills and be comfortable talking with visitors.   Sat 25, Sun 26 & Mon 27 (one 4.5 hour shift)
Seminar / Masterclass Theatre Steward Must be friendly, have good communication skills and be comfortable talking with visitors. Sat 25, Sun 26 & Mon 27 (half day each day)
Boat Handling Check-in greeting and marshalling customers booked onto Boat Handling Taster Sessions. Must have good communication skills and be comfortable talking with the public.  Sat 25, Sun 26 & Mon 27 (half day each day)
General Site Assistant Manual tasks, site maintenance, moving furniture, equipment and crowd control barriers.  Fri 24, Sat 25, Sun 26 and Mon 27 (1.5 hours from 8:30am plus 2.5 hours from 4pm each day)
VIP Marquee Reception Must be friendly, have good communication skills and be comfortable talking with show visitors. Sat 25, Sun 26 & Mon 27 (half day each day)
Show Photographer ideally have some experience of event photography and be able to communicate with the general public. Sat 25, Sun 26 & Mon 27 (half day each day plus 6.30-11pm Sat OR Sun)

AFTER THE SHOW

Role Description  
Heavy lifting includes lifting and moving furniture and event equipment. Mon 27 5-8pm & Tue 28
General Site Assistant Includes dismantling site signage, banners and equipment. Some lifting, climbing ladders and light manual tasks. Mon 27, 5–8pm & Tue 28, 10am–2:30pm
Site Clearing litter picking. Mon 27, 10am–2:30pm
