For the Children
For Crick Boat Show 2012, we’re working on a variety of children’s activities, entertainment and experiences. We’ll be providing traditional rides and games for children of a variety of ages, plus fun entertainers who’ll amuse the whole family.
We’re also working on a range of activities and educational areas for children throughout the show with an aim to encourage our youngest visitors to leave the show knowing that little bit more about Britain’s inland waterways. We’ll be listing full details of all our features for children in due course.
Entertainment
Our full daytime entertainment timetable will be available as soon as all the details are confirmed, together with detailed information about all of our daily acts.
Food and Drink
We aim to offer a high quality food and drink service at Crick Boat Show 2012 which caters to all tastes and budgets. Full details of all food and drink vendors will shortly become available.
Heritage Area
Our heritage area will showcase the history and heritage of Britain’s inland waterways. We’ll be releasing more details on this as soon as they become available.
Kingfisher Boating Marquee
The backbone of Crick Boat Show, little will change about the Kingfisher Boating Marquee this year. A huge floored marquee filled with waterway related products, services, associations and businesses, it’s an essential part of the Crick Boat Show experience. More details about what you can expect to see in the Kingfisher Marquee this year will be available in due course.
Wildlife
Focusing on the marine and riverbank creatures that have made Britain’s inland waterways their home, we hope to inspire children and adults alike with information about the incredible ecosystem of this habitat. More information on the animals, insects, amphibians and fish you’ll discover in this area will be displayed shortly.
Water Vole Craft & Food Marquee
Our brand new Water Vole Craft & Food Marquee will be host to a gathering of fine craftspeople and gourmet food specialists. With tasty samples and live demonstrations of craftsmanship and innovative and unique products, the Water Vole marquee is the ideal place to browse. We’ll be giving you updates on some of the products you’ll find in the Water Vole Food & Craft Marquee over the coming months.
The Boats
The colourful boats set the scene at Crick Boat Show. With several dozen floating boats within the marina, and a dozen or so land-based boats, you’ll be spoilt for choice. Be sure to climb aboard a few and take a look inside for an insight into life on the waterways. Presented by national and local boat builders and brokers, the narrowboats on display form the heart of the show. More details of the boats that will be at the show will be released in due course.
Around the Marina
A feast of boating expertise awaits you on the quayside with high quality exhibitors from every field whose large marquees welcome you inside to browse and chat. Make sure you take the opportunity to talk to all the experts and find out more about what they have to offer. Details of some of the exhibitors you’ll meet in this area will be displayed shortly.
Show Village
Our Show Village is a bustling outdoor area of the show with a large number of exhibitors. Located adjacent to the main food court, it’s the ideal area to enjoy a gentle post-lunch stroll. The Show Village is also a great place to pick up some exclusive show-only offers and bargains.
Campsite Entertainment
Our evening entertainment schedule, real ale bar opening times, and evening catering facility details for campers, moorers, and those wishing to visit from Crick village and surrounding areas will be available very shortly.
