New Crick prints inspired by iconic 1930s travel posters now available to buy
If you’re looking for a gift with a difference, then these brand new prints are sure to surprise and delight. Designed by artist Nicky Thompson, the artwork uses a style made famous in the 1930s by Frank Henry Mason - one of the UK’s most popular railway poster artists. The unframed prints are available in A3 and A2 sizes from the Waterways World shop.
2017 a Record Show
“With terrific weather over the weekend there was a record attendance this year. Sunday was particularly glorious; the crowds flocked in and, as with Saturday, we had to call our overflow car park into action. Even the bit of rain on Monday did not seem to dampen spirits with a good crowd continuing to enjoy the show.
Exhibitors reported very healthy levels of business, with boat-builders securing good orders and all other stand-holders were delighted with the visitor numbers. Over 1,000 show-goers enjoyed free boat trips along the Grand Union Canal, and more than 2,000 attended the free seminars on boat-ownership.
There was a really friendly and relaxed atmosphere at the event, which is a showcase for the industry as well as an opportunity for members of the inland boating world to come together to meet old friends and make new ones. And we were entertained with two terrific nights of high-quality music from T-Rextasy and Fleetwood Bac. Now we need to think how to top that in 2018!”
